Price Surveillance
If you have found the product you are looking for, but have a specific budget in mind for your purchase, you can set up Price Surveillance in order to keep a track of the price of a product.
NB. You must be signed in to PriceInspector to use this feature.
To set up Price Surveillance follow these steps:
- Search for a product.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the product details page where you will see a Yellow CCTV sign.
- In the Price Surveillance box, ask PriceInspector to either:
- Tell me when the Price "drops by"
Choose this option if you want to be notifed when a product drops by a set amount e.g. drops by £20.
- Tell me when the Price "drops below"
Choose this option if you want to be notified when a product drops below a price e.g. drops below £100.
- Tell me when the Price "reduces"
Choose this option if you want to be notified when there is any price reduction on the product. e.g. drops week by week by any amount.
- Hit the "Keep Watch" button to set up surveillance on the product.
In the example above, I have asked PriceInspector to inform me when the price of the Lg 42PC1D LCD television (current lowest price at £949.99), drops below £900. When this happens, an email is sent to the registered email address informing of the price reduction.
You can also modify and edit your Price Surveillances from the MyOffice area - just click on Price Surveillance to view your Watch List.
