Using advanced keyword Search Commands

Search commands are ways of narrowing your search to get more specific results.

Note: PriceInspector searches are not case-sensitive, so whether or not you use capital letters, your results will be the same.

Your Search: You're looking for products where two or more keywords are all present.
Command: Just enter the keywords with a space between them.
Example search: LCD TV silver
Returns: Products with all three words in the title (or description if you have chosen to) in any order

Your Search: You're looking for products containing certain words in a particular order.
Command: Place quotation marks around the group of words.
Example search:"Arsenal Football shirt"
Returns: Products with titles containing Arsenal Football shirt, but not those just containing football, shirt or Arsenal shirt

Your Search: You're looking for products that don't contain a certain word.
Command: Place AND NOT immediately before the word to be excluded (no space).
Example search: bib overalls -baby
Returns: Products with titles containing the words bib overalls and not containing the word baby

Your Search: You're looking for products that don't contain several words.
Command: Place a minus sign before the list of words separated by commas (with no spaces).
Example search: Samsung AND NOT (black or red or purple)
Returns: Products with titles containing the word Wedgwood but not containing black, red or purple.

Your Search: You're looking for Products where one word or another is present.
Command: Enter keywords in parentheses separated by OR.
Example search: (Samsung or Sony)
Returns: Products whose titles contain either the word Samsung or Sony

Your Search: You're looking for products that contain words starting with a particular sequence of letters.
Command: Enter the letter sequence followed by an asterisk.
Example search: chin* buddh*
Returns: Products whose titles contain words starting with "Chin," such as China, Chinese, Chinois, Chinook, and chintz, as well as words starting with "Buddh," including Buddha, Buddhas, Buddhist, Buddhism.

Your Search: You're looking for products containing a particular word in addition to an advanced search command.
Command: Using the AND.
Example search: (Samsuny or Sony) AND LCD
Returns: Products whose titles contain LCD and either Samsuny or Sony.
