Tom Neil Signed Hurricane Mk1

This hand carved and painted replica of Tom Neils famous Hurricane Mk1 was painstakingly researched before it was modelled by Bravo Deltas skilled craftsmen and is a faithful and exact replica. Tom Neil joined the RAFVR aged just 18 in 1938 and after his commissioning he joined 249 Squadron at Church Fenton on May 15th, 1940. His record of 17 victories during the Battle of Britain was quite outstanding, the rate at which they accumulated was virtually without precedent. But on the last day when he took down a JU87 and two BF109s, Tom collided with his Wing Commander and was forced to bail out of his aircraft. He was truly one of the fastest scoring aces of the conflict. His record was obviously testament to his flying skills but also to the effectiveness of the Hawker Hunter. We are delighted that Tom Neil has signed a limited number of these pieces exclusively for us here at Aircraft Legends. This Bravo Delta replica is hand crafted from kiln dried mahogany, and accurately hand painted using up to 35 coats of lacquer. This model measures 37cm in length and has a wingspan of 47cm.
